Hey guys, welcome to my little fashion blog where I give you all the tips you need to find your style. So for today’s post, I’m going to be talking about how you can love your body through fashion (yes darling, you can actually use fashion as a way to show your body some love, and I’m going to show you how😉).

Okay, so I know it’s a bit off to consider fashion as a tool for self care because not only does it seem trivial to focus on your wardrobe but the fashion industry (alongside the beauty industry) is known for promoting this “perfect body aesthetic” in their marketing campaigns in a bid to get people to buy what they sell so that they can fit in with the whole perfect aesthetic, which leads to a trend that results in low self esteem, body image issues and a host of other issues. However, fashion does have its good sides, like the fact that it is one of the best ways to express yourself and is also a really great way to show yourself some love.

Fashion is one of the best ways to show yourself love. It allows you to showcase your authentic self and boosts your self esteem while you’re at it.

Now, how exactly does fashion apply to self love? Well it’s easy, self love is all about appreciating yourself and taking care of yourself and fashion is a great way to do that because it allows you to express yourself and have fun while you’re at it, plus there’s the fact that when you dress well, you’re giving yourself a confidence boost. So how exactly do you love yourself through fashion? Well, that’s what I’m here to teach you, so without further ado let’s get to it…

How To Love Your Body Through Fashion.

1.) Embrace the body you have: First things first, you are going to learn to love and appreciate the body that you have, and then you’re going to dress for it. Not to the body you used to have, or the one you want to have, you are going to embrace the body you have now by dressing for it; by wearing clothes that not only fit but also flatters your figure. It would go a long way trust me.

2.) Find your style: Finding your style is important because not only does it allow you to find a way to express yourself through your wardrobe, it also lets you learn more about yourself and what kinda clothes would suit you best, which leaves you with a closet you love and feel confident in. Plus, it’s also a great way to show yourself some love because by taking the effort to find your style, you’re basically affirming that you’re worthy of looking great. 3.) Be intentional about it: Just like every other thing in your life, you have to be intentional about your style. I know that it’s quite tempting to view fashion as something trivial and push it aside, but if you really want to love your body through fashion, then best believe you have to be intentional with it. What do you want to achieve with your style? What kinda vibes do you want to give off with your outfits? Consider that and make a plan according to it.

4.) But still try to have some fun: At the same time, you can also loosen up and wing it from time to time because fashion is fun and loving your body through fashion is supposed to be fun. So it’s alright to just let your hair down, relax and have some fun with your stylish self love journey.

5.) Dress with confidence: Or as I’d like to call it, confidence dressing (you can click here to read more about it). Confidence dressing is just what you need for those days when you need a little confidence boost, or the days when you just want to show off how awesome you are in the best way possible, because what better way to givr off the I love me energy than dressing up lo a total bad bitch who’s got her act together.

6.) Just be you: At the end of the day, I feel like this is the most important thing in this list, because if you are unable to be your authentic self, then the other items in this list are a waste. Do your own thing, because at the end of the day, that is the best way to love yourself and your body. So do you, Rue😉❤.
